There's lots to see and do at the Fringe and we're here to help you make the most of your Fringe experience. For the uninitiated, the Fringe can seem a little overwhelming at first - so many shows, so many activities. It's up to you how involved you want to get. Many people just want to come see a show or two. If you'd like some pointers, we have compiled a list of tips to help you navigate the festival. You may also want to check out all the activities we hold during the festival and throughout the year. If you really feel the call of the Fringe, you may want to consider volunteering as well. Before you know it, you'll be a seasoned Fringe Pro, eager to discover the year's great talents.

Registration is free and you can choose to receive newsletters on a monthly or bi-annual basis (December and May - to alert you as to when applications are available and when upcoming Fringe Festival participant information is available on our website). ![]()

The Fringe relies on its supporters to function. With 100% of festival box office returned to the performers, all production costs such as venue rental, festival publicity, technical equipment, staffing and more must be funded by other sources. If you would like to become a Friend of the Fringe, please fill out and return the donation form. For your donation we will provide you with a charitable tax receipt, include your name in our Fringe Program and in June we will mail a copy of the Fringe Program right to your home.
You may be able to double your donation if you work for an organization that offers a matching gifts program – check with your company.
New this year, we'd like to give our donors the chance to leave their mark at the Fringe Club. With your donation, show us your spirit by sending us a Donor Artwork Card – draw, write or get creative in a 3" x 3" box. Then, in July, come down to the Fringe Club where your submission will be proudly displayed.
Every year the Toronto Fringe welcomes a variety of National and International artists. As you can imagine, traveling from festival to festival can be a costly endeavor. In order to encourage artists to continue touring their work, the Fringe works hard to offer them a free place to stay while performing at our Fringe. A spare bed, couch or comfy piece of floor is greatly appreciated by touring artists and can go a long way to help make the Fringe circuit a cost-effective means of showcasing new work across the country.
We here at the Fringe office also take careful consideration in matching hosts and guests appropriately. People who offer artists a place to stay are encouraged to fill in a form where they can detail their guest preferences. Artists interesting in being billeted are also required to fill in a detailed questionnaire so that the Fringe can best match everyone up. Once paired up, the Fringe will ensure that you are contacted so that you can give your final approval on the artist we wish to assign to you. Many a great friendship have blossomed from the Fringe billeting program and it is a great way to show your support for the festival.
In addition to our heartfelt thanks for your generosity, the Toronto Fringe will offer a VIP 6 pass (good for six free fringe admissions which you can book in advance) to each household that billets a Fringe performer.
If you or someone you know is interested in billeting a performer during this year's Fringe Festival, please feel free to fill in the billeting form and return it to us at the address listed at the bottom of this letter. If you have any questions about billeting a performer, please contact the Fringe at 416-966-1062.
