All artists may submit a theatre production for entry to the Festival. The Fringe mandate is to provide opportunities to all artists no matter their professional status or the type/style of material presented. The festival also welcomes submissions from across Canada and around the world. This open process allows for total creative freedom on the part of the artists, and allows for an open exchange of ideas between the artists and audiences free of any artistic mandate.
A company (or individual) applies for a spot in the Fringe by submitting an application form and fee. Regular and KidsVenue companies are selected by a lottery. Bring your Own Venue participants are selected on a first-come first-served basis.
The application deadline for Indoor Venues for the 2008 Fringe Festival is now past. Please check this website in the fall for availability of applications for 2009.
BYOV applications will be accept to Friday April 4th, 2008 or until spots are filled. Click here for more information and BYOV application form.
If you have any questions after reading the guidelines, contact us at fringe@fringetoronto.com or 416-966-1062.

How does touring your show across the country sound? That's right...across the country! There are Fringe Festivals located across Canada and the United States and some companies turn Fringing into an adventure by taking their shows to numerous festivals in the summer. Feeling adventurous? Check out the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals (CAFF) list and see if you can put together a summer Fringe tour.
To make it easier for touring companies to get into all of the festivals they wish to participate in, CAFF has created a Touring Application category. The 2007 CAFF Touring Application lottery has already taken place. If you are interested in applying to this category for the 2008 CAFF tour, applications will be available in September 2007. In the meantime, you can view the 2007 application form for more details on this category. For more information please e-mail us at fringe@fringetoronto.com or call (416) 966-1062.
